The Creekers - Papaw's Boat

Текст песни
Текст песни: It was bought in '95 by a good 'ol boy and his lovin' wife
Had three little mouths to feed
Fish was somethin' we'd eat
It was aluminum and it shined so bright
It had big blue stripes down both sides
And a 40-horse on the back
A Tracker, as a matter of fact
Every now and then he'd take a spell
Go down to the lake, give that old boat hell
Catching crappie under that green line
Papaw's Boat taught more lessons than most
To be patient and how to grow
Some might find it in a Bible, but when I need a little revival
That's when I go out in Papaw's boat
Passed it down to his older son
Dad loved that thing, so much fun
And I'd sit right next to him
He'd let me reel one in
He taught me everything a boy should know
"Son, hold it still, work it slow"
How I miss those nights
Papaw's Boat taught more lessons than most
To be patient and how to grow
Some might find it in a Bible, but when I need a little revival
That's when I go out in Papaw's boat
Here I sit at twenty-seven with a son of my own
And the same old boat that I've always known sitting in the yard
Just like the ones before, I'll do my part
Papaw's Boat taught more lessons than most
To be patient and how to grow
Some might find it in a Bible, but when I need a little revival
That's when I go out in Papaw's boat
That's when I go out in Papaw's boat
